Leak detection in flexible packaging

We offer packaging integrity testing services to ensure the airtightness and reliability of sealed packages. Our current method employs a vacuum chamber with water to detect leaks in packaging materials. During this process, the packaged product—containing headspace gas—is submerged in water within the vacuum chamber. As the pressure inside the chamber is reduced using a vacuum pump, any leaks present will cause the internal gas to escape, generating visible bubbles at the point of leakage.

This method is particularly well-suited for flexible packaging types such as pouches, sachets, and vacuum-sealed bags, which are commonly used in the food, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods industries. It is ideal for detecting microleaks, seal failures, and material defects in packages that rely on gas retention to maintain product freshness and safety. By providing quick and accurate detection of packaging flaws, this testing method supports effective quality control, minimizes product loss, and helps ensure compliance with safety and shelf-life requirements.
